I thought this was a deserving topic for SPC, Tom and Janice. If you are on the fence about who's batteries to buy let me share getting to know Tom Himes in about a years time frame.
Guy at track who you don't know is helping you with lines when you first start racing and do not know many people. He gives a total stranger input and his driving skills are way past mine when I show up. But yet still helps me.
Guy at track sells you slightly used battery to help you save some money and says if you do not like the pack bring it back and I will return your money.
Guy at track offers to help a new team that started at the begining of this year during the indoor season. The team is not really established but has some potential but yet he offers to help anyways. He not only helps with providing quality batteries that have NOT failed us BUT also helps and talks about car set up with team guys to help out.
Guy at track stands on the driver stand next to you while you are trying to proceed running him down and passing him for first place and he helps you drive the correct lines to do so.
Guy at track is running for a points championship in stadium truck, he is battling with one of the team drivers, this final will dictate who wins the indoor season points title. A potential questionable situation / opportunity presents itself to make a questionable move that could land him the championship, he DOES NOT take it. He takes the high road and finishes in a respectable second place for the points championship.
This guy at the track is a professional, he does not cheat people, he stands behind what he sells and he helps others even at his own cost of potentially loosing.
Thank you Tom Himes for being "that guy"! You are a class act!
